Dr. Jason Kaplan, DPM Dr. Jason Kaplan, DPM Dr. Jason Kaplan, DPM, is an experienced podiatrist with the team at West Coast Podiatry group, which has locations serving the Madera, Fresno, and Clovis communities in California. Dr. Kaplan is a Board Qualified podiatric physician and surgeon with the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). Dr. Kaplan is offering comprehensive foot and ankle care encompassing non-surgical and surgical interventions. He has special interests in traumatic injuries, deformity correction, and limb salvage. Dr. Kaplan attended Portland State University in Portland, Oregon for his undergraduate studies. He then moved to New York City, where he earned his doctorate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Kaplan completed his three-year surgical residency at Tucson Medical Center in Arizona, where he was appointed Chief Resident. There, he received comprehensive surgical training in both foot and ankle pathologies spanning from traumatic injuries, reconstructive forefoot and rearfoot procedures as well as limb salvage. Dr. Kaplan believes in a treatment approach that is logical, understandable, personalized to the patient's personal and professional needs, and rooted in Evidence-Based Medical practices. He takes an active role in ensuring his patients receive the most current treatments supported by scientific literature. He enjoys staying up to date with new techniques in training courses, attending medical professional conferences, and reviewing the latest peer reviewed literature. In his spare time, Dr. Kaplan can be found outdoors hiking, camping, or continuing his athletic training at the local gym. He is proud to call California home and looks forward to treating those with foot and ankle needs in Fresno and surrounding areas.
